Q - I'm on medications that may or may not cause an issue for me to get tattooed? What do you recommend that I do prior to coming in to get tattooed?
ANSWER- We always recommend that you talk to your doctor before getting a tattoo, as it is a procedure that causes an open wound on your body, so it would be a good idea to check in with them to discuss if you may have any issues caused by your medical condition or current medications. This is especially important for anyone with diabetes or potential autoimmune issues, but is not limited to just those. Certain medications have the potential to cause issues with your healing as well as how you handle the process of actually getting tattooed. Calling your Dr to be certain is always recommended. **Please note, we cannot tattoo you if you are currently taking a course of ANTIBIOTICS as well as some blood thinner medications.
